“Silent Nights” Festival is the largest in Eastern Europe festival of silent films and contemporary music taking place in Odessa, Ukraine. It features the world’s silent film masterpieces and avant-garde classics, accompanied by contemporary music performed live.
The festival will be held on 21-23 June at the Club Sea Port’s yacht berth.
Author soundtracks to classic silent films will be presented by musicians from Belarus, Poland, Russia, Ukraine and the Czech Republic. The“Silent Nights” Festival program consists of movies of two categories: masterpieces that make up part of the universal cultural heritage (“Kreutzer Sonata” by Gustav Mahata, “The Last Man” by Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau) and Ukrainian films, once banned by Soviet censors.
The festival will close with the concert of eccentric freak-kabaret Dakh Daughters.
