Yuri Gorbachev is an artist known all over the world. Even though he lives in New York, he is considered Odessa citizen, because he’s lived in South Palmyra for many years.
His paintings are in the collections of prestigious museums, including Louvre, White House, Kremlin, UN Museum, State Russian Museum (St. Petersburg). The painter is known by a particular manner of his work in which he combines woodcut art and easel painting. In addition to richness of colors his paintings feature peculiar design with using gold, bronze and enamel.
Gorbachev’s paintings cost from three thousand dollars. And the most expensive and large canvas is “Saint George and the Dragon” estimated to more than USD 210,000.
Yuri Gorbachev exhibition is held in the Literary Museum until September 20, so have time to visit while staying in your Odessa apartments.
