Catherine the Great
Now, sitting in one of the beautiful rooms of the Eleganza Hotel (that was why
Odessa apartments were the last thing I wanted to think about again!) and wandering the streets of my favorite city, I can say I’m thankful to my mom and dad in a way, since if I had been here before, I wouldn’t have been so delighted with the trip! Founded in 1794 by Catherine the Great, Odessa is one of the few cities in the world that has retained the charm of the old day. With so many sights, I guess, Odessa is one big sight anyway. Following my friends’ advice, I would not hesitate to visit the much renowned Privoz, Derybasovskaya pedestrianized walkway, Primorsky Boulevard, the sea port and the Potemkin Stairs. That was my first day in Odessa, which I had decided to sacrifice for the most renowned sights and objects, of which there is a lot more than I could handle.
